I truly enjoy the “Cook’s Tips” that will be sprinkled through out your book. If you happen to appreciate great photography in your books, you will really enjoy this one. The photographs are enough to wet your desires for food before you even glance at the ingredients list. This is a very comprehensive 384 page book with quick and easy to prepare recipes, that you can make for your friends and family on any given day in the week. I was a small amount skeptical in the beginning, but when I started to read the book My partner and i realized Paltrow gives good quality advice about alternative substances and healthy eating. It’s very impressive. This cookbook is a posthumous tribute to Gwyneth’s missed father. In her 272-paged cookbook, filled with full-color inspiring photos Gwyneth Paltrow teaches recipes from breakfast, sandwiches and burgers (by the way, the prawn sandwich is actually amazing) to soups, salads (the scorching Nicoise salad is one of the best), main courses, side dishes, and desserts and stories from her lifestyle. I really like the recipe selection in this book. Every recipe in the book has a personal connection to her past. Jamie Oliver gave Gwyneth present – a cooking session for duck ragout and she thinks recipe for duck ragout that are her favorite recipe in the whole book. Before you start of each recipe, she includes stories approximately where her recipes originate from. Each recipe has an icon beside it: “Make Ahead, ” “Quick, ” “Vegetarian, ” “Vegan, ” “One-pot Snack, ” and “Dress up Meal” (a family sized meal that can be changed into something simpler or higher sophisticated, depending on your occasion). Some of the recipes in My Father’s Daughter links to your foodie websites and substitutes to make recipes healthier. The quality recipes themselves are relatively simple and easy to make and every thing I tried was truly tasty. If you require easy, delicious and healthy recipes with plenty of time-saving tips, then this is about good as the idea gets. I can tell that many heart and soul, and labor definitely went into the making of this book. It is the ultimate resource for the home cook. It definitely paid off.
