Can you use pressure cooker as a tattoo autoclave sterilizer for medical disinfection purpose?
Show me proof if possible. What is highest temperature in pressure cooker and tattoo autoclave?
A lot of people said no, but please tell me why in a more specific way. (if possible)
Also, is it legit?
The answer is no because there is no drying cycle with those things like there is REAL autoclaves. I don’t know a single regulatory agency that would accept them. They don’t reliably reach 240 degrees – the VERY MINIMUM – at a constant temperature, either.
People have stated in Answers that you can time it until the packaging color indicator changes. This is wrong info, too. You can expose the package for a couple of minutes and the color will change. You can put the package in your car dashboard on a hot sunny day and the color will change. This is useless.
Home tattoo use? Give me a break. Unless the home studio is legal and licensed there is NO REASON to tattoo in someone’s home. Friends deserve a professional environment just like anyone else. I fire any artists that are found to be tattooing outside the studio.
By the way, dry heat sterilizers have to be run for an hour. These are not condoned for use by regulatory agencies either.
