Website design in Kenya is becoming a popular business strategy in most growing companies. A lot of companies are looking for website designers in order to have their businesses online. This has led to a great number of young people flooding the market with basic skills in web design.
Web design has earned a lot of people some extra cash, because the need for websites is huge. Most of the company owners take the idea of having a website for granted, websites are not simply a copy of the contents in your business card, but rather should be a platform to sell your product to the online community. I guess by now those who want to have websites should have known that there is more to website design than what meets the eye.
Website design cannot be complete without search engine optimization being given a first priority. Search engine optimization is the process of making your website be found by the search engines. This involves doing on page optimization which is simply following all the required procedures required of you by the search engines on the pages of your website.
On page SEO as is referred to by search engine optimizers involves;
-Having header tags in the pages of your website
-Ensuring that image alt tags are in place
-Having meta description of the content
-Having the right keywords etc.
These are just but few of the many things required to be done on your website while in its foundational stage. Without doing on page SEO, your site may remain in the gutters of the search engines and you may never rank or be found by those looking for your product or services.
As always, content is king, this is the most important thing in websites. If you have a website that does not have content, is like having an empty shop in the middle of the city. Content is what will enable search engines to refer searches to your site. Without content you are useless online.
I have mentioned something about keywords, to add more, I would suggest that keyword research be the foundation of website design. Without doing keyword research you will create a very beautiful website that no one may ever find. Keywords are simply search words- words which people use to make searches with while online. These words are very important in that if you do not do a research, you may not know what the online community is looking for when it comes to your product.
If you need a website, you better involve the best people on the field to do your website, so that your presence online can be visible to everyone.
