LIC is in Queens. Queens is one of the boroughs of NYC. Manhattan is a borough as well. NYC is comprised of 5 boroughs (Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, The Bronx and Staten Island). However, people often say NYC and mean Manhattan only. This is probably why you are confused. The hotel is situated 2 blocks from the Queensboro/59th st bridge. It’s a pretty nondescript and a bit run down area. There is probably a lot of auto traffic due to the proximity of the bridge which could translate into noise. It is not to far from the Queensbridge F train and you are very close to Manhattan in the midtown nearing the beg. of the Upper East Side area (not far from Bloomingdales). Hope this helps.
