All About the Pro-Bind 1000
The Pro-Bind 1000 Thermal Binding Machine will exceed your expectations for a desk-top perfect-binding machine. The ProBind 1000 will bind Hard Covers & Soft Covers up to 3/4″ thick. The simple one-touch operation, convenient built-in cooling rack, and energy saving mode, all make the Pro-Bind 1000 Binding Machine extremely convenient and easy to use. It has never been easier to make a book! In just one minute you have a completed perfect bound book ready to use!
Two cycles are required when binding Pro-Bind Hard Covers in the Pro-Bind 1000 Binding Machine. If this is not completes, the bind will not be secure and pages may fall out. The Pro-Bind 1000 is a low volume binding machine that was built to handle about 80 books / month (1,000 / year). Another great thing about it is that it requires no maintenance! Just shut the machine off when not in use… there is no clean up.
How to Bind using the Pro-Bind 1000:
- Jog and align your stack of sheets so that all edges are flush. Place your jogged stack inside your Pro-Bind Cover and jog again to ensure that all of the pages are aligned.
- Place the Pro-Bind Cover into your Pro-Bind 1000 and press the start button. This starts the heating process.
- Leave your book in the Binding Machine for 60 seconds. If using a soft cover, you are done! If you are using a Hard Cover, start the cycle again by repeating step two. Then, immediately remove your book and place it into the Hard Cover Crimper. Pull the handle of your Crimper and leave in the Crimper to allow the adhesive to completely cool, securing your pages in place. In just minutes you can remove your finished book.

The desk-top 18 gauge steel perfect binding machine weighs approximately 10 pounds and is built to last. It is able to bind from 1/16″ up to a 2″ spine capacity with the push of a button. The cycle time is just 30 seconds for Soft Cover Thermal Binders and 60 seconds for Hard Cover Thermal Binders.
